Israeli Strikes Hit Yemen’s Hudaydah Port in New Aggression
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli warplanes struck Yemen’s key Red Sea port of Hudaydah on Tuesday, damaging dock infrastructure critical for humanitarian aid, Yemeni media reported, as the brutal Israeli war in Gaza continues to reverberate across the region.
Yemen’s al-Masirah TV said Israeli aircraft launched two air raids targeting the docks of Hudaydah port.
The strikes reportedly caused significant damage to port facilities used for vital food and aid shipments.
Israel has not acknowledged the attack and offered no comment on the reports.
The assault comes amid Yemen’s continued support for Palestinian people suffering under the relentless Israeli assault in Gaza.
Also, in a message marking the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha, Mohammad al-Ghamari, Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Armed Forces, reaffirmed support for Gaza’s defenders.
“Palestine is in the heart of Sanaa, and Yemen will stand with it until liberation,” Ghamari said in a statement directed to the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas resistance group in Gaza.
“Our hands are extended to you, and our weapons, our positions, and our prayers are with you,” he added.
Ghamari praised the resilience of Palestinian fighters and called their actions “a model for all the free people of the world.”
He declared that the Israeli enemy would face inevitable defeat.
“Victory belongs to the faithful and oppressed servants of God,” he said.
Yemen has declared ongoing military and logistical support for Gaza’s resistance, including operations in the Red Sea targeting Israeli-linked vessels.
Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, issued a similar statement earlier this week.
“Yemen will remain by your side until the aggression on Gaza ends and the blockade is lifted,” Saree told Palestinian fighters.
“No matter who abandons you, Yemen never will.”
