Israeli Strike Kills 26 at Aid Distribution Point in Rafah
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Israeli airstrike targeted an aid distribution site in Rafah, the Gaza Strip, killing at least 26 people, Palestinian media reported on Sunday.
On May 28, Israeli forces reportedly killed at least three Palestinians and injured 46 others near another distribution site.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israel’s genocidal military campaign has killed at least 54,381 people since October 2023.
Thousands remain buried under rubble or stranded on roads, the ministry added, citing ongoing challenges in rescue efforts due to continued bombardment.
Israel resumed its military offensive on March 18, ending a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that had been in effect since January.
As Israel's attacks intensify, the United Nations and humanitarian organizations warn that civilians in Gaza are being starved and systematically denied access to basic necessities.
In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the Gaza offensive.
