Yemeni Ballistic Missile Targets Tel Aviv Amid Continued Israeli War on Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Yemen's armed forces launched a fresh missile strike on Tel Aviv early Friday, triggering air raid sirens across large parts of central and southern Israeli-occupied Palestine and sending settlers scrambling to shelters.

The ballistic missile, fired at dawn, set off alarms in the occupied territories from Tel Aviv to the southern regions, according to initial reports.

Israel’s military claimed it intercepted and destroyed the missile mid-air, a statement routinely issued after such attacks. However, military analysts and observers have increasingly questioned the reliability of these claims, pointing to inconsistencies and lack of evidence.

The Yemeni armed forces reiterated their stance that strikes will persist as long as the siege and military operations in Gaza continue.

These repeated missile attacks from Yemen are being carried out in declared solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, who remain under relentless bombardment by Israeli forces.

In a revealing commentary earlier this week, retired Brigadier General Zvika Haimovich, a defense analyst writing for Walla News, acknowledged that despite Israel's ongoing airstrikes on Yemen, they have failed to prevent further missile launches.

"We must admit that as long as the war in Gaza continues, the Houthis [Yemeni forces] will persist in their attacks, bringing paralysis, damage, and destruction upon us," Haimovich wrote.

Yemen's continued resistance comes amid growing international criticism of the humanitarian toll of Israeli genocidal campaign in Gaza, now in its 21st month.
