Israeli Strikes Kill, Wound 10 in Yemen Ports

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least one civilian was killed and nine others wounded in Israeli attacks on Yemen’s Red Sea ports, according to the Yemeni Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said on Friday that Israeli airstrikes targeted the ports of Al-Salif and Al-Hudaydah.

The attacks left at least one person dead and nine others injured.

The ministry noted that the figures are not final.

The Foreign Ministry in Sana’a vowed retaliation, calling the Israeli attacks a violation of Yemen’s sovereignty and international law.

“We will deliver a painful response to the repeated Israeli aggressions against Yemen’s ports,” the ministry said in a statement.

The statement described the Israeli strikes as a “clear breach” of the United Nations Charter and international law.

It added that repeated attacks on Yemen’s infrastructure show Israel’s “humiliating failure” to achieve its goals.

Yemen also condemned the international community’s silence over the airstrikes.

The statement urged Arab leaders attending a summit in Baghdad to adopt a strong collective stance in support of the Palestinian people.

Yemen reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Gaza, including efforts to impose a naval and aerial blockade on Israel.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, said the rise in failed “terrorist attacks” by Israel was “not surprising.”
