Foolad Sirjan Reaches 2025 AVC Men’s Champions League SF
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian club Foolad Sirjan secured a spot in the inaugural Men’s Champions League of the Asian Volleyball Confederation after defeating Shanghai Bright of China 3-1 on Friday.
Foolad Sirjan had previously defeated Nakhon Ratchasima QminC of Thailand and Taichung Bank of Chinese Taipei.
The Iranian men will face either Osaka Bluteon of Japan or Nakhon Ratchasima QminC in the semi-finals on Saturday.
In another semi-final, Japan’s Suntory Sunbirds Osaka will compete against Al Rayyan of Qatar.
The competition is being held at the Panasonic Arena in Hirakata in Japan’s Osaka for the preliminary rounds and at Shimadzu Arena in Kyoto for the final rounds, from May 11 to 18.
Both the champion and the runner-up will qualify for the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Club World Championship.
