Yemen Hits Israel's Ben Gurion Airport with Hypersonic Missile Again

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen’s Armed Forces struck Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport for the second time in less than a week using a hypersonic ballistic missile, in retaliation for Israel’s ongoing brutal campaign in Gaza.

Yemen’s military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said Tuesday that the missile "successfully hit its target" at Ben Gurion, Israel’s main international airport near Tel Aviv.

The attack follows a similar strike on the facility last Friday.

According to Saree, both operations caused widespread panic among settlers and forced thousands into shelters as air raid sirens sounded across the occupied territories.

Airport operations were halted for nearly an hour during each incident.

"This operation is a direct response to the ongoing genocide being perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people," Saree stated.

He confirmed that the Yemeni Armed Forces used a hypersonic missile, escalating their military pressure on Israeli infrastructure.

Since Israel launched its genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed more than 52,900 Palestinians — mostly women and children — Yemen has intensified its strikes.

Ben Gurion Airport has been targeted at least five times since the start of the Israeli war, including this latest attack.

In parallel, Yemeni forces have declared a naval blockade on ships supplying Israel and recently announced an aerial blockade on Israeli airspace.

Several international airlines have suspended flights to Israel in response to these developments.

Saree called on remaining carriers to follow suit, saying, “This operation affirms the continuation of the flight ban imposed on the aforementioned airport.”

He reiterated that Yemeni strikes would continue until the Israeli regime ceased its genocidal aggression towards Gaza and lifted a siege that it has been deploying against the coastal sliver since 2007, but has insufferably intensified during the past several months.

Yemen’s military additionally reminded the moral duty of the Muslim world to stand against the Israeli regime and support the Palestinian cause of liberation from Israeli occupation and aggression.
