Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Teen in West Bank: Palestinian Ministry
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces shot and killed a 14-year-old Palestinian-American boy near Ramallah on Sunday, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, as violence in the occupied West Bank continues.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health identified the victim as Omar Mohammad Rabea, 14, stating he died from Israeli gunfire near the town of Turmus Ayya.
Two other Palestinian teenagers, aged 14 and 15, were also wounded during the incident.
One of the injured, Abdul Rahman Shehadeh, said he was shot by a soldier while picking fruit.
The second wounded boy was identified as Ayoub Asaad by his father, Ahed Asaad, who confirmed that his son holds a US passport.
Ahed Asaad said Israeli forces stopped the ambulance that was transporting his son to the hospital.
In a statement, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the shooting as an “extra-judicial killing” by Israeli forces.
“Israel’s continued impunity as an illegal occupying power encourages it to commit further crimes,” the ministry said.
