2024-25 WASL: Tabiat Loses to Al Riyadi
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Tabiat basketball team lost to Lebanese side Al Riyadi 110-100 in the 2024-2025 FIBA WASL-West Asia League (WASL), Friday night.
Tabiat had earlier defeated Sagesse and Iraqi side Al Difaa Al Jawi.
The FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) is an international basketball league organized by FIBA Asia, consisting of clubs from West Asia and Persian Gulf regions, in addition to the representatives of South and Central Asia.
“It was a tough game ... we had a chance near the end of regulation, but maybe we should have made a better decision. But in overtime they managed the game better than us. Each possession, they made the best decision, and they won,” Tabiat coach Mehran Shahintab said.
