Assassination of IRGC Adviser Lays Bare Israel’s Terrorist Nature: Spokesman
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the assassination of a senior IRGC military adviser in an Israeli airstrike in Syria, describing it as a telling example of the Zionist regime’s terrorist nature.
In a statement on Monday night, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s move to kill General Seyed Razi Mousavi, an Iranian anti-terror adviser, in the residential neighborhood of Zeinabiyah district in the suburbs of Damascus.
The spokesman described this crime as a terror act of aggression, saying the cowardly and heinous move is yet another sign of the terrorist nature of the Zionist regime.
He added that throughout its wretched existence, the Zionist regime has frequently and steadily violated international law and norms and has committed all kinds of crimes, and on Monday, it did a cowardly and terrorist act, the ministry’s website reported.
Kanaani also offered condolences to the great Iranian people, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and the honorable general's family over the martyrdom.
Iran reserves the right to take necessary measures and respond to this act at the right place and time, he stated.
