Esteghlal, Nassaji Play Out Goalless Draw, Persepolis Defeats Mes: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran Professional League (IPL) leader Esteghlal was held to a goalless draw by Nassaji on Matchweek 20 on Monday.
In the match held in Mashhad, the Blues shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
In Tehran, Persepolis defeated Mes 3-1 at the Azadi Stadium.
Mehdi Abdi opened the scoring for Persepolis in the 19th minute but Majid Aliyari equalized the match four minutes later.
Kamal Kamyabinia scored Persepolis’ second goal and Abdi completed his brace in the 74th minute.
Esteghlal leads the table with 48 points, three points above Persepolis.
