Over 180,000 Coronavirus Patients Recover in Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Health Ministry spokeswoman said the number of people who have fully recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country has surpassed 180,000.
Speaking at a daily press conference on Sunday, Sima Sadat Lari said at least 183,310 confirmed cases have recovered from COVID-19 across Iran.
She added that the number of people tested positive for the coronavirus in the country has risen to 222,669 following the detection of 2,489 new cases since yesterday.
The spokeswoman put the number of coronavirus patients who died over the past 24 hours at 144, saying it brought the total death toll to 10,508.
The number of people infected with COVID-19 across the world has exceeded 10 million, and the death toll has surpassed 501,000.
