Israel Arrests Two over Alleged Spying for Iran amid Growing Security Fears

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli media reported on Tuesday that security agencies detained two individuals accused of gathering intelligence for Iran, highlighting what the regime describes as deepening Iranian infiltration inside its military and security structures.

Hebrew-language outlets said Israel’s domestic security service Shin Bet, working with police, arrested two 26-year-old men from Holon on suspicion of espionage for Iran.

Authorities allege the pair received cryptocurrency payments in exchange for photographing military bases and sensitive sites across occupied Palestine.

Reports claim that one suspect established contact with Iranian operatives in early 2025 and carried out several intelligence-gathering missions at military and strategic locations.

The same individual is said to have continued his activities even during the 12-day war in June, maintaining ties with Iranian handlers while conducting surveillance operations.

Israeli security sources told local media the two men had been in custody since August over suspected links to Iranian intelligence.
