US Navy Seals Slaughtered North Korean Civilians during Failed Mission: Report

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A shocking report has revealed that US Navy SEALs massacred several North Korean fishermen during a failed covert mission, exposing once again Washington’s criminal disregard for human life.

According to the New York Times, the 2019 operation was ordered by then-US President Donald Trump and executed by the notorious SEAL Team 6, the same unit that assassinated Osama bin Laden in 2011. The mission aimed to plant a spying device inside North Korea at the height of sensitive negotiations between Pyongyang and Washington.

The report states that under the cover of darkness, with communications cut, the American commandos mistakenly ran into a group of North Korean civilians diving for shellfish. Instead of retreating, the SEALs opened fire and gunned down the unarmed fishermen aboard a small vessel.

US officials familiar with the mission told the paper that after the killings, the SEALs tried to conceal their crime. According to one account, they threw the bodies into the sea and even stabbed the corpses to puncture their lungs, ensuring they would sink and never be recovered.

The revelations, based on interviews with former US officials and military insiders, shed light on how the Pentagon routinely hides the bloody failures of its special operations under the cover of secrecy.

Trump, confronted with the report, denied knowledge of the mission, claiming, “I could look, but I know nothing about (it)… I’m hearing it now for the first time.”

North Korea has not publicly commented on the report, and US officials admitted it remains unclear whether Pyongyang ever learned the truth behind the slaughter.
