Israel Escalates Massacres in Gaza, Killing Dozens in Single Day

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli occupation forces unleashed a new wave of brutal attacks across Gaza since Sunday, slaughtering at least 51 Palestinians, including 27 in Gaza City.

Among the victims were 24 civilians who had gathered in desperate search of food aid.

The heaviest assaults targeted the Zeitoun and Sabra neighborhoods of Gaza City, where the Israeli military continues its campaign of destruction aimed at seizing the city and forcing its population into displacement in the south.

According to Gaza’s Civil Defence, more than 1,000 residential buildings in those areas have been reduced to rubble since August 6.

Witnesses reported that Israeli forces struck a team providing humanitarian aid in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, killing three and wounding many others, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital confirmed.

Two more Palestinians were killed in an attack on the al-Karameh area, northwest of Gaza City.

In southern Gaza, one person was killed and two others were wounded after occupation forces targeted a tent sheltering displaced families in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis.

The relentless bombardment comes as Arab and Muslim states convened in Jeddah for an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to address the worsening humanitarian catastrophe.

Meanwhile, UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini warned that famine has become the “last calamity” devastating Gaza, describing the enclave as “hell in all shapes.”
