Israeli Attacks Kill Starving Palestinians in Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least 10 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza on Friday.
The Israeli regime’s attacks across Gaza continued on Friday morning, including an assault on aid seekers near the Morag Corridor south of Khan Younis, which killed at least two people and injured more than 70.
Sources at hospitals in Gaza reported that Israeli attacks carried out since the early hours of Friday morning have killed at least 10 people so far, according to Al Jazeera.
Nasser Medical Complex reported on Friday that an Israeli airstrike struck tents sheltering displaced individuals in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis. The attack killed four people and wounded several others.
In another strike on the Ard al-Fara area south of Khan Younis, three civilians, including a child and a woman, were killed when tents for displaced persons were hit, Al Mayadeen reported.
A drone strike on Deir al-Balah in central Gaza killed four people and left others injured, as Israel continues targeting areas housing displaced populations.
Israeli warplanes also continued their heavy bombardment of Gaza City. Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that an airstrike struck near the Islamic Complex in the Sabra neighborhood. Another strike targeted a building in the Rimal neighborhood near the Passport Office, resulting in deaths and injuries. The Sheikh Radwan Cemetery, located northwest of the city, was also bombed, leaving several wounded.
Artillery shelling further hit eastern parts of Gaza City, exacerbating destruction in already devastated neighborhoods.
Amid these ongoing attacks, the Government Media Office in Gaza lashed out at the Israeli regime for deliberately engineering chaos and starvation. It reported that 104 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip on Thursday but were systematically looted under the direct supervision of the Zionist forces.
The office emphasized that Gaza requires no less than 600 aid trucks daily to meet the basic humanitarian needs of over 2.4 million residents, including 1.1 million children who are being deprived of food and infant formula.
Describing the current situation as a "double crime," the media office called for the immediate and complete opening of all border crossings. It also urged that humanitarian aid be delivered under the independent supervision of the United Nations to ensure fair distribution and access.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 60,249 people and wounded 147,089 others since October 2023.
