Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Man in Occupied West Bank Crackdown

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli occupation troops escalated their violent raids across the occupied West Bank, arresting over 50 Palestinians—including children and former prisoners—and killing a Palestinian man.

More than 50 Palestinians were seized during coordinated Israeli military raids in Nablus, Qalqilya, Tubas, Al-Khalil (Hebron), Jenin, Bethlehem and Ramallah, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office (ASRA).

ASRA reported that children, activists and previously released detainees were among those targeted.

Occupation forces stormed residential areas and educational institutions, aiming to suppress any form of organized resistance.

In the village of Rummanah, west of Jenin, a Palestinian man was shot dead after he wounded an Israeli soldier.

Hamas identified the slain Palestinian as Ahmad Ali Amur, 55.

“As we mourn the victim of the attack, we affirm that this attack sends a message that all attempts by the occupation to extinguish the flames of resistance in the West Bank will fail,” Hamas said in a statement.

Meanwhile, in Jenin refugee camp, displaced Palestinian women were briefly permitted to return to their homes under tight restrictions.

After applying for Israeli military approval, they were granted just 40 minutes to pack what they could from destroyed dwellings in the al-Hawashin neighborhood.

Nisreen Abu Zeina, one of the displaced residents, said they wanted only to see what remained.

“We pray that one day we will be back,” she told Al Jazeera.

She described walking long distances on ruined roads and enduring repeated searches by Israeli troops before reaching the remnants of her home.

“The stench was unbearable. They kept rushing us,” she said.
