Israeli Assaults Kill at Least 47 People in Gaza since Dawn

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces killed at least 47 Palestinians in a fresh wave of attacks that obliterated aid distribution points and terrorized families across the Gaza Strip, deepening what rights groups call a campaign of mass extermination.

Israeli bombardment has struck areas from Gaza City to Rafah since dawn Saturday, according to hospital sources speaking to Al Jazeera.

Medical staff at Nasser Hospital reported that nine Palestinians, including three children, were killed near an aid center north of Rafah.

A source at al-Ahli Hospital confirmed one person dead and others wounded after Israeli forces attacked Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood.

In the al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, at least six civilians were killed and more than 10 injured when Israeli shells tore into tents sheltering displaced families.

Al-Mawasi was nominally declared a “humanitarian zone” by Israeli regime.

Israeli forces also bombarded al-Shafi School, killing at least five people and injuring others in Zeitoun.

Two more Palestinians were killed in the Bureij refugee camp after military jets targeted a house.

Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat said four civilians were killed when Israeli troops struck an aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza.

Civil Defense crews reported rescuing 11 wounded individuals, including children, after an air strike flattened a house belonging to the al-Zinati family near the Gifted School in Sheikh Radwan, northwest Gaza City.

Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that Israel’s onslaught has killed at least 57,268 people and wounded 135,625 since October 7, 2023.

The United Nations human rights office said it had documented 613 killings of Palestinians near aid points and humanitarian convoys as of June 27, underscoring the systematic targeting of civilians seeking food.

Of those fatalities, 509 were near controversial aid points run by the Israeli and United States-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) and near humanitarian convoys, as of June 27.

Gaza’s Health Ministry puts the death toll near aid points above 650, with more than 4,000 wounded.

Rights groups have condemned the GHF’s distribution model as a grotesque pretext for Israel to massacre desperate people, labeling the sites “human slaughterhouses.”
