Iran Slams US, Germany for Enabling Israel’s Continued Genocide in Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s Foreign Ministry has denounced Israel’s relentless slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza as systematic genocide, blaming the United States, Germany, and other Western states for directly sustaining the campaign of extermination.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei on Friday condemned the Zionist regime’s ongoing massacres, describing the bombardment of residential neighborhoods, refugee camps, and humanitarian sites as “unprecedented war crimes.”

He cited the recent attacks on shelters for displaced civilians, including the Mustafa Hafez school in Gaza City, as evidence of a deliberate policy to eradicate the Palestinian population.

“The United States, Germany, and all supporters of this occupying entity are complicit in genocide and crimes against humanity,” Baqaei said.

The remarks came after Gaza authorities reported that Israeli forces killed more than 300 Palestinians within 48 hours, adding to the catastrophic toll since October 7, 2023, when Israel launched its brutal assault following a retaliatory Hamas operation against decades of repression.

According to Palestinian officials, the Israeli military offensive has so far murdered over 57,000 people, the majority women and children, and wounded more than 135,000.

Baqaei also condemned Israeli plans to annex the occupied West Bank, after all Likud ministers urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to complete the land grab before July 27, exploiting US support to accelerate colonization.

He warned that the move signaled a dangerous escalation in Israel’s expansionist agenda and called for immediate action by Islamic nations and the broader international community to resist “the colonial scheme aimed at erasing Palestine as a nation and historical identity.”

Baqaei praised Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, for documenting Israeli crimes and defending Palestinian rights despite fierce US-led pressure to silence her.

In her address to the Human Rights Council in Geneva on Thursday, Albanese urged governments to sever trade and financial relations with Israel and dismantle the “economy of genocide.”

She also unveiled a report identifying dozens of corporations complicit in atrocities.

The United States has repeatedly demanded her removal from the UN post, accusing her of antisemitism in an effort to deflect scrutiny of Israeli atrocities.
