Saudi Arabia Vows to Avoid Involvement in Any Military Action against Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman gave an assurance that his country will never allow its soil or airspace to be employed for any act of aggression against Iran.

In a telephone conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday, Mohammed bin Salman condemned the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression against Iran.

"In addition to efforts to create unity among all countries to condemn this aggression, we have made many efforts to consult with various countries to apply pressure on Israel and stop its attacks," he said.

Condemning the American military strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, the crown prince stressed that Saudi Arabia has not allowed and won’t allow its airspace to be used for any action against Iran.

He also gave an assurance that no military operation will be conducted against Iran from the American bases in Saudi Arabia.

For his part, Pezeshkian said, “We are ready to resolve issues between ourselves and the US based on international frameworks and we never seek anything beyond our rights; in this path, we welcome any assistance from our friendly and brotherly countries.”

He also praised Saudi Arabia's clear positions and supports during the military aggression of the Zionist regime against Iran.

The president denounced the US intervention in the recent events, saying, “The Islamic Republic of Iran was compelled to respond to the direct participation of the US in the attack on Iran's territorial integrity by launching a missile attack on their base in the friendly and brotherly country of Qatar.”

Iran firmly believes that the US and the Zionist regime seek to create discord and enmity among the Islamic countries, Pezeshkian warned, noting that Iran is seeking to strengthen unity and peace in the region.

“Iran is not looking to confront any of the Islamic and neighboring countries, and I hope the Zionist regime, which is constantly igniting fires in the region, would also be put in its place based on international frameworks,” the president said, his official website reported.
