Iranian Missiles Hit US Base in Qatar

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran launched a powerful missile strike on a US base in Qatar in retaliation to Washington’s recent attack on three Iranian nuclear sites.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Monday evening targeted the United States’ Al-Udeid air base in Qatar with a devastating and powerful missile attack in an operation codenamed “Promise of Victory”.

This base is the headquarters of the US Air Force and the largest strategic asset of the US’ terrorist military in the West Asia region, the IRGC said in a statement.

The message of the decisive measure by the nation’s sons in the Iranian Armed Forces is clear and unequivocal for the White House and its allies, the statement said, adding that “The Islamic Republic of Iran, trusting in God Almighty and relying on the faithful and illustrious people of Islamic Iran, will not leave any attack on its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and national security unanswered under any circumstances.”

With the US aggression on Iran, it became clear for all that the Zionists’ evil acts have been an extension of the Americans’ planning, the IRGC said.

“Accordingly, we would like to remind (everyone) that in this national defense, the US’ mobile military bases and targets in the region are not a point of strength, but rather a major weakness and Achilles’ heel of this war-mongering regime.”

While the Zionist regime waged a war of aggression against Iran on June 13 and has been striking Iran’s military and nuclear sites, the US stepped in and conducted military attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran’s Natanz, Fordow and Isfahan early Sunday.

The Iranian officials said afterwards that Tehran reserves the right to resort to its own options for reaction to the US attacks.
