Iranian Police Defuse Bomb in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Police said a remote-controlled bomb planted by the Zionist regime’s elements in a western neighborhood of Tehran has been defused on Saturday.
The spokesperson for the Law Enforcement Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran (FARAJA) said his colleagues have defused the bomb thanks to the vigilance of the citizens who called the Police.
General Saeed Montazeralmahdi said the Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams defused the electronically controlled bomb that weighed half a pound and was planted in a western area of Tehran by elements affiliated with the Zionist regime.
The spokesman praised the responsible citizens for their vigilance and contribution to the country’s sustainable security, giving an assurance that the police forces are ready to detect and combat any threat instantly.
The Zionist regime waged an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on June 13. It carried out airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear, military and residential sites that resulted in the martyrdom of scores of top military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary citizens.
