Former Sepahan Coach Morais Named Al Wahda Coach
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former coach of Iran’s Sepahan football team Jose Morais has been appointed as Al Wahda coach.
The Emirati side will participate in the 2025-26 AFC Champions League Elite.
The Portuguese coach has most recently worked as the head coach of Turkish Super Lig club Bodrum.
Morais led Sepahan from June 2022 until November 2024. He stepped down as the head coach after two and a half years with the Iranian club.
During his tenure, Sepahan won the 2023-24 Hazfi Cup. Hugo Almeida, his assistant, took over as interim coach.
