Ex-Iran U-23 Coach Coordes Dies
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Former coach of Iran’s U-23 national football team Egon Coordes passed away.
The German football player and coach died at age 81 on June 17.
Under his leadership, Iran failed to qualify for the 2000 Olympic Games.
Iran had lost to Lebanon and Bahrain.
As a player, Coordes played for Werder Bremen and VfB Stuttgart teams.
