Iranian Border Guards Shoot Down 44 Israeli Drones in 48 Hours

TEHRAN (Tasnim) — Iranian border forces have shot down 44 drones and FPVs belonging to the Israeli regime in recent days, a senior Iranian commander said, after the Zionist regime violated Iranian airspace.

Brigadier General Ahmad-Ali Goudarzi, Commander of Iran’s FARAJA Border Guards, said the drones were destroyed after being detected near Iran’s borders.

"In the past 48 hours, 44 drones and micro-UAVs of the usurping Zionist regime that attempted to enter our airspace were tracked and destroyed by the vigilant border guards of FARAJA," Goudarzi said in a statement on Sunday.

He described the Iranian border units as fully prepared and on high operational alert.

"Our brave border guards are fully ready to defend the Islamic Republic of Iran’s borders and will forcefully respond to any intrusion by terrorist groups, armed smugglers, or hostile agents," he added.

Goudarzi emphasized that Iran’s border forces maintain "complete intelligence oversight" and remain "steadfast in safeguarding the security and sovereignty of the country."

The commander also reaffirmed unity with other branches of Iran’s armed forces, vowing a decisive response to any threats near the borders.
