A Painful Fate Awaiting Israel: IRGC Chief
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Pakpour warned the Israeli regime that it should brace for a painful fate.
“The criminal and illegitimate Zionist regime will suffer a bitter and painful fate with huge and destructive consequences,” he said in a letter to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Friday.
Major General Pakpour was appointed as the IRGC chief earlier in the day, replacing Major General Hossein Salami, who was martyred in an Israeli military strike in the early hours of Friday.
Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Baqeri, Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Gholam Ali Rashid, Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, at least six Iranian nuclear scientists, and a number of women and children were also martyred in the strikes.
In his letter, Major General Pakpour offered condolences over the losses and underlined his commitment to avenge the blood of the martyrs.
“The crime committed by the terrorist Zionist regime today in violating the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic will definitely not go unanswered,” he stated.
With the help of God, the gates of hell will soon be opened upon this child-killing regime, the senior commander went on to say.
Ayatollah Khamenei has warned the Zionist regime that it will receive a severe punishment for the strike, saying, “With this crime, the Zionist regime has prepared for itself a bitter, painful fate, which it will definitely see.”
