President Highlights Armenia’s Special Place in Iran’s Foreign Policy

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Armenia has a very special place in the foreign policy of Iran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said, unveiling plans to visit Yerevan for talks on the expansion of relations.

In a telephone conversation on Friday, the Iranian president and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stressed the need to enhance the historical and amicable relations between Tehran and Yerevan and promote cooperation to ensure the common interests.

The Armenian prime minister referred to the high level of relations between the two neighbors, saying Armenia is looking forward to the Iranian president’s visit to Yerevan to pursue the common goals.

Pezeshkian, for his part, hailed the historical, cultural, and friendly bonds between the two nations, highlighting the deep-rooted and sustainable relationship between Iran and Armenia.

The president highlighted the special position of Armenia in Iran’s foreign policy.

He stated that the bilateral ties will remain strong thanks to the willingness of both sides.

Pezeshkian finally expressed eagerness to visit Armenia, adding that his administration would make arrangements for the trip.
