Iran Preventing Harm to Ties with Armenia: Top Security Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will not allow the enemies to impair its strategic relations with Armenia, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Akbar Ahmadian said.
In a meeting with Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan, held in Tehran on Sunday, Ahmadian said the “strategic relations” and close cooperation between Iran and Armenia in all fields would benefit regional peace and stability.
Iran won’t allow the enemies to cause any harm to the good relations between the two neighbors, he stated.
Highlighting Iran’s policy of maintaining close ties with all neighbors, Ahmadian said outsiders are uninterested in calm across the region.
The Iranian official also stressed the need to fully carry out the joint projects between Tehran and Yerevan.
For his part, Grigoryan praised Iran for supporting his country.
He stressed that the expansion of relations between Armenia and Iran is not linked to the will of others.
The Armenian official also lauded the Iranian private sector for partnership in economic and energy projects in Armenia.
