New Envoy Outlines Plans to Cement Iran’s Alliance with China

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s new ambassador to Beijing laid out his plans and priorities to give a fresh impetus to the relations with China.

Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Iran’s newly-appointed ambassador to China, had a meeting with Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in Tehran before taking office.

In the Sunday meeting, Rahmani Fazli outlined his plans and priorities for advancing the bilateral relations between Tehran and Beijing.

Araqchi, for his part, wished the new ambassador success in his mission.

He underscored the deep-rooted civilizational ties between Iran and China, the long-standing history of diplomatic engagement, and the abundant potential for cooperation under the framework of Iran-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Araqchi emphasized the importance of sustained efforts to expand bilateral ties in all dimensions.
