Iran Condemns Israeli Strikes on Palestinians

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s fresh atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank that have been committed in tandem with the Israeli acts of aggression against Lebanon and Syria.

In a statement on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the Israeli regime’s unprecedented crimes committed during the past two days, including the massacre of nine members of the family of a Khan Younis doctor and an attack on the Fahmi al-Jarjawi school in central Gaza City that has killed over 50 innocent Palestinians.

The Iranian spokesman denounced the Israeli attacks on the camps and the displaced people’s tents as a flagrant war crime that is committed as part of a colonial genocidal plot against Palestine.

He also noted that the international community’s muted response has encouraged the Zionist regime to intensify its atrocities against the defenseless Palestinian people, saying Israel has no limits in savagery and violation of the international norms.

Baqaei abhorred the extremist Zionists’ actions in the West Bank and al-Quds, including the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Israeli settlers’ move to set fire to houses in the West Bank town of Bruqin.

“This is the legal and moral duty of all countries and international organizations to act to stop the Zionist regime’s crimes and prevent the normalization of massacre of people, destruction of houses, and occupation of the lands of others,” he stated.

He further reminded the sponsors of the Zionist regime, specifically the US, the UK and a number of other European states, of their direct responsibility in the Israeli atrocities.
