Iranian President Warns of Enemy’s Divisive Plots

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted the significance of national consensus, warning that the enemies seek to undermine unity in order to create division in the country.

In remarks at a meeting with the political and social activists in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah on Thursday, President Pezeshkian said the enemies are keenly trying to create internal divisions among Iranians.

"If Iran has remained resilient against threats, it is due to the solidarity of its people," the president stated, his official website reported.

Pezeshkian also expressed his belief in negotiations, but clarified that it should not come at any cost.

The president also ruled out negotiations under threats or disrespect, affirming that the Iranian people are not ones to surrender or retreat from their principles.

"If they do not want to make peace, we must come together, think, and find a solution," he said, emphasizing that the Iranian nation can achieve solutions by relying on its own strengths.

The president concluded by stressing the need for evidence-based decision-making in today's world, noting that those who base their decisions on facts and figures and act accordingly will ultimately succeed.
