Israeli Attacks on Yemen Flagrant Breach of Int’l Law: Iranian Spokesman
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli regime’s military strikes on Yemen’s Hudaydah port as an egregious crime and a brazen violation of the principles of international law.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s military aggression against Hudaydah and other infrastructure in Yemen, describing it as a clear crime and a blatant violation of the principles and rules of international law.
The spokesperson noted that the Israeli attacks on Yemen’s industrial and residential facilities are carried out with the support and involvement of the United States.
He denounced the Israeli acts of aggression as clear breach of law and a violation of the principles and foundations of the United Nations Charter regarding respect for the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries.
Baqaei also urged the international community and regional countries to take effective action to stop the killing and destruction carried out by the US and the Zionist regime in the Islamic countries, the Foreign Ministry’s website reported.
The spokesperson emphasized that the only way to prevent the spread of insecurity in the region is to stop the genocide and crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and to end the impunity of the regime’s criminals.
