Israeli Army Kills Three Palestinians in West Bank Refugee Camp Assault
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces killed three Palestinians during an attack on a house in the Far’a refugee camp near Tubas late Wednesday.
The Palestinian Wafa news agency reported that the killings occurred after Israeli forces surrounded a house and opened fire. Ambulance crews found body parts and traces of blood after the military withdrew, Wafa added. The Israeli army has reportedly withheld the bodies of those killed.
The three victims were wanted individuals who the Israeli military claims “sold weapons for terror purposes."
In the same raid, two Palestinians, identified as Ahmed Nabil Sobh and Hakam Muhammad al-Khatib, were arrested.
The killings come amid an ongoing large-scale Israeli military offensive targeting northern areas of the West Bank, including the Jenin and Nur Shams refugee camps. The operations have displaced thousands of Palestinians and caused significant destruction to homes and infrastructure, including water and power supplies.
The crackdown on refugee camps began in January and has seen dozens of Palestinians killed, with at least 40,000 displaced, according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli forces continued their raids and arrests. On Thursday, soldiers detained two brothers after raiding their family home near Tubas. At least three more Palestinians were arrested in towns and villages around Ramallah and el-Bireh, while six others were detained in al-Khader, south of Bethlehem.
Clashes also erupted in Beita, south of Nablus, where a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg during confrontations with Israeli soldiers, Wafa reported. The military also used tear gas to disperse residents.
The ongoing violence underscores the heightened tensions across the West Bank as Israeli operations intensify in response to resistance within Palestinian refugee camps.
