US, Israel to Gain Nothing in Syria: Iran Armed Forces
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The joint US-Israeli plot against Syria will get nowhere and the sinister schemes of the hegemony, led by Washington, will be thwarted by the Iranian nation, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces issued a statement on Saturday on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the 2009 nationwide pro-establishment rallies on the ninth of the Persian month of Dey.
The statement said the recent developments in the region, particularly the upheaval in Syria, revealed the US’ unabated evil policies, its push for insecurity, and the depth of its hostility towards freedom-seeking nations.
No doubt what happened in Syria was the outcome of a joint plot hatched by the US and the Zionist regime, it added, warning that the hegemony system, led by the US, is seeking to plunder the resources of Muslims.
The statement described the Islamic Republic’s establishment as the biggest obstacle to the US’ tyranny and crimes, saying the hegemony has been employing all of its regional and international capacities to overcome that obstacle.
The Armed Forces reminded the US-led hegemony that its plans will be trampled over by the Iranian nation and it will gain nothing in Syria.
The statement also highlighted Iran’s military preparedness, its great defense achievements, and the tireless efforts to safeguard the country’s security.
The Iranian Armed Forces are ready to give a decisive and crushing response to any act of aggression by the enemies of the Islamic Revolution, it stated.
