Esteghlal Shares Spoils with Mes: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal and Mes Rafsanjan football teams shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in the 2023-24 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.
Sajad Shahbazzadeh opened the scoring for Mes just three minutes into the match but Gustavo Blanco equalized the match with a header in the 16th minute.
Mes’ forward Saeid Vasei gave the visiting team the lead at the beginning of the second half but Blanco was on target once again to level the scoreboard.
Also, Malavan defeated struggling Nassaji 1-0 in Ghaemshahr and Zob Ahan lost to Shams Azar 2-0 in Isfahan.
On Sunday, Gol Gohar will host Persepolis in Sirjan, while Paykan will play Esteghlal Khuzestan in Tehran and Foolad meet Havadar in Ahvaz.
