S. African Commander Slams Israel’s New Apartheid
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Chief of the South African National Defense Force General Rudzani Maphwanya condemned the Israeli regime’s crimes against Palestinians as new apartheid.
The senior South African commander paid a visit to the base of the Iranian Army Ground Force’s 65th special forces brigade on Thursday.
During the visit, General Maphwanya pointed to South Africa’s bitter experience of struggle against an apartheid regime from 1948 to 1994, describing the Zionist regime’s crimes and acts of aggression as new apartheid.
Hailing the Iranian Army’s capabilities, the commander said South Africa will stand by Iran in the defense of the oppressed people of the world.
He also praised the Iranian armed forces’ humanitarian and peacekeeping missions.
