Some 11 Million Tons of Goods Transited via Iran in 8-Month Period: IRICA
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said 10,919,000 tons of foreign products were transited via Iranian soil in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to November 22, 2023).
The transit of foreign goods via Iranian land showed a 19.54 percent growth compared to last year’s corresponding period, IRICA added.
These foreign products were mostly transited via the Customs Office of Shahid Rajaei Special Economic Zone in Bandar Abbas, as well as Parvizkhan, Bashmaq, Bazargan, Bilesavar, Bandar Lengeh, Jolfa, Sarakhs and Astara customs.
Of the total transit of foreign products via Iran, 9,672,000 tons were transited from the aforementioned customs offices.
Parvizkhan, Astara Port Special Economic Zone and Bashmaq customs offices accounted for the maximum rise in transit of foreign products, IRICA added.
