Iran’s FM in Ankara after Visiting Doha
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian arrived in the Turkish capital of Ankara early on Wednesday for talks with the neighboring country’s senior officials.
Amirabdollahian will meet with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during the daylong trip.
He has traveled to Turkey after a trip to Doha where he and top Qatari officials, including the Arab country’s Emir, exchanged views on efforts needed for an immediate stop in the fighting in Gaza.
In Turkey, the Iranian top diplomat will continue his diplomatic efforts to help find a solution to the crisis in Palestine.
The Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip that started after a surprise operation by the Hamas resistance movement on October 7 have so far killed more than 8,600 Palestinians and left over 23,000 others wounded.
UN officials have appealed to the Security Council for a ceasefire, as the head of UNICEF warns that more than 420 children are being killed or injured in Gaza every day.
