Yemen Marks 9th Anniversary of Revolution with Massive Military Parade

The parade commenced with songs that symbolized Yemen's resilience and unity in the face of the US-Saudi aggression.

In 2014, the Yemeni people initiated a popular uprising against the Saudi-backed regime of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi, which led to Ansarallah taking control of the capital, Sana'a, on September 21.

These protests were a response to the ineffectiveness and corruption of the Riyadh-backed Sana'a government.

Subsequently, a Saudi-led coalition launched a relentless bombing campaign in an attempt to suppress the resistance and reinstall the Hadi regime. This war, with unwavering support from the United States, has resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of Yemenis and plunged the country into one of the world's most severe humanitarian crises.

Facing this invasion, Yemen's Army and Popular Committees have pledged to continue their armed struggle until the complete liberation of the country from the scourge of foreign intervention.

Yemen's Leader Emphasizes Need for Institutional Reform

Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, emphasized the imperative need for a comprehensive overhaul of state institutions to fulfill their role with responsibility, ethics, and rigorous oversight.

Speaking on the ninth anniversary of the September 21 Revolution, Al-Houthi stressed that reforming state institutions was both a national necessity and a popular demand, essential for Yemen's resilience against its adversaries.

He acknowledged past issues stemming from negligence and incompetence but noted that war, siege, and hostile plots had worsened the situation.

Al-Houthi advocated for an economic policy reliant on resource development to boost revenues and reduce the burden on citizens, aiming to transform Yemen into a producer rather than import-dependent. The first phase of radical change will be unveiled on the Prophet Mohammad's (PBHU) birthday anniversary.
