Iran’s Yazdi Seizes Silver at U-20 World Wrestling Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s Yasin Yazdi collected a silver medal at the U-20 World Wrestling Championships 2023 on Sunday.
The Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler lost to Turkey’s Alperen Berber 9-1 in the final bout of 82kg.
Georgian Data Chkhaidze and Russian Imam Aliev won the bronze medals.
The 2023 U-20 World Championships started in Amman, Jordan on August 14 and will run until August 20.
Iran’s freestyle team won the title with 165 points, followed by the US and India with 152 and 102 points, respectively.
