Iran Willing to Boost Ties with Algeria
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The president of Iran congratulated Algeria on its Revolution Day, hoping for growing relations with the North African nation in various fields.
In a message to his Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika on Thursday, Hassan Rouhani congratulated Algeria’s government and nation on the anniversary of the Arab country’s Revolution Day.
He also expressed hope that Tehran-Algiers relations would grow in all areas in light of mutual cooperation.
Rouhani finally wished success and prosperity for Algerian “friends and brothers”.
Algeria celebrates the anniversary of the Revolution Day on November 1 and commemorates the start of the war of independence against France.
On November 1, 1954, coordinated attacks by the National Liberation Front (FLN) against police and French military targets across Algeria triggered the Algerian War.
