During their meeting in Tehran, the two sides discussed ways to expand cooperation in defense, technical, and industrial fields, underscoring the need to strengthen ties based on mutual interests and to enhance capacities for technological collaboration.
Iran’s defense minister expressed satisfaction with the growing relations between Tehran and Minsk, saying Iran welcomes the expansion of defense and industrial cooperation with friendly and independent countries, and that Belarus holds a special place in these partnerships.
Pantus, for his part, highlighted Iran’s extensive capabilities in industrial and technological sectors and affirmed his country’s interest in promoting joint cooperation in research and development, defense equipment production, and the exchange of industrial experience.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides emphasized their shared views on many regional and international issues and announced readiness to draft a roadmap for future cooperation, accelerate the implementation of joint projects, and utilize bilateral as well as regional and international mechanisms, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
