In a message to the newly appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Youssef Hassan al-Madani, Pakpour congratulated him on assuming the new responsibility and expressed condolences over the loss of General Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, the late Chief of Staff of Yemen’s Armed Forces, who was martyred in an Israeli airstrike.
Major General Pakpour praised al-Ghamari as a great commander of Islam whose “glorious jihad in defending Yemen’s dignity and territorial integrity and his victorious resistance against Zionist crimes” have become an enduring chapter in the history of Yemen’s struggle.
Referring to al-Madani’s first statement after his appointment, the IRGC commander emphasized that such martyrdoms “only strengthen the determination of the proud and resistant nation of Yemen” in confronting the sworn enemies of the Islamic Ummah and continuing the path of defending the oppressed—particularly the people of Palestine and Gaza.
Reaffirming Iran’s position of solidarity with the Yemeni resistance, Major General Pakpour stated that the IRGC “renews its pledge to the lofty ideals of the martyrs of the Resistance Front and the liberation of al-Quds al-Sharif,” declaring full readiness to enhance spiritual and strategic bonds with Yemen’s armed forces in the fight against global arrogance and international Zionism.
