Mohammad Muftah offered condolences to Abdul Malik al-Houthi and President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat on the Israeli assassination of Mohammad Abdulkarim al-Ghamari.
Muftah said al-Ghamari’s jihadi approach brought pride, dignity and respect to the Yemeni people and the Islamic ummah, and would inspire future generations who follow the path of jihad, dignity and honor.
He said the commander’s death would harden Yemenis’ resolve to support their oppressed brothers in the Gaza Strip and to defend the Palestinian cause and other vital issues of the Islamic nation.
Muftah said al-Ghamari had played a key role in military confrontations with the US-backed Saudi-led coalition in recent years.
He added that during the past two years, al-Ghamari had been instrumental in operations “Promised Victory and Sacred Jihad” aimed at supporting Gaza, reflecting his sincere spirit and loyalty to the homeland and the Islamic ummah.
On Thursday the Yemeni Armed Forces announced the martyrdom of Major General Mohammad Abdulkarim al-Ghamari, head of the country’s army, and said the Israeli authorities would face consequences for their alleged crimes.
The Armed Forces said in a statement that clashes with the enemy were not over and that, with God’s help, the enemy would receive a deterrent punishment for the crimes it had committed until al-Quds was liberated and the regime was ended.
The statement said the noble path followed by the martyrs would not end with the killing of one commander, but would be carried forward by successive generations of heroes who would continue to sacrifice.
