Iran Condemns Israeli Attacks on Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s repeated military aggressions against Lebanon, denouncing its continued violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In a statement released on Sunday, Baqaei particularly condemned a Saturday drone strike carried out by the Zionist regime in the village of Msayleh, which targeted machinery and equipment used for debris removal and reconstruction in residential areas previously damaged by Israeli attacks.

The Iranian spokesman described the Israeli regime’s ongoing breaches of the ceasefire agreement and military assaults on Lebanese territory as a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and international law.

He also criticized the inaction of the US and France, as the guarantors of the ceasefire, urging the international community to take serious and effective measures to curb the lawlessness and warmongering of the occupying Zionist regime against Lebanon and other countries in the region.

On Saturday morning, Israeli air attacks killed one person and wounded seven others in Msayleh village in southern Lebanon, temporarily severing a key route connecting Beirut to the country’s south, in the latest near-daily violation by Israel of the November 2024 ceasefire it signed with Hezbollah.

The strikes targeted a site that sold heavy machinery and destroyed numerous vehicles.
