Italy Defends Title at 2025 FIVB World Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Italy defeated Bulgaria 3-1 (25-21, 25-17, 17-25, 25-10) in the final match of the 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championship on Sunday to defend its title.
Earlier in the day, Poland defeated the Czech Republic 3-1 (25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-2) in the bronze medal match.
Iran finished eighth in the competition.
The 21st staging of the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), took place in two cities of the Philippines from September 12 to 28, 2025, with the participation of 32 teams.
