Iran Comes Sixth at the 2025 Asian Women’s Junior Handball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to India 22-21 at the 2025 Asian Women’s Junior Handball Championship on Friday.
The Iranian team finished in sixth place in the Championship.
The Championship is taking place from August 20 to 29 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This year’s edition features 10 participating teams and marks the first time that Uzbekistan hosts a continental event in this age category.
Later in the day, Japan and South Korea play in the final while China meet Chinese Taipei in the bronze medal match.
The top four teams in the competition will secure their tickets to the 2026 IHF Women’s Junior World Championship.
