Israeli Forces Loot $447,000 in Armed Raid on Ramallah Exchange Shop

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the heart of Ramallah, the seat of the Palestinian Authority, on Tuesday, looting nearly half a million dollars from a money exchange office under the pretext of targeting Hamas funding.

According to the Israeli police, the troops seized about 1.5 million shekels ($447,000) in various currencies, including US dollars, Jordanian dinars, and euros. Israeli authorities attempted to justify the theft by claiming the funds were destined for Hamas.

In the same raid, occupation troops arrested nine Palestinians and brutally assaulted residents, leaving dozens injured. Among the wounded was a 13-year-old child who was shot during the invasion.

Such violent incursions have become a hallmark of Israel’s occupation policies in the West Bank, where daily raids terrorize civilians.

However, the latest armed assault into central Ramallah — a political and administrative hub — underscores the regime’s escalating disregard for Palestinian sovereignty.
