Iranian Greco-Roman Wrestler Ahmad Wins Gold at World U-20 Championships
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Payam Ahmadi won a gold medal in the 2025 World U-20 Championships on Saturday.
Ahmadi defeated Azerbaijan’s Turan Dashdamirov 5-3 in the final bout of 55kg.
Iran’s Hadi Seydi also won a silver medal after losing to Ukraine’s Yehor Yakushenko 5-2 in 97kg final.
The 2025 U-20 World Championships took place in Samokov, Bulgaria from August 17-24.
