Sharifi Named Iran’s Captain in 2025 World Volleyball Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Morteza Sharifi has been chosen as captain of the Iran national team in the 2025 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship.
The competition will be held in Pasay, the Philippines from September 12 to 28.
Iran has been drawn in Pool A along with the Philippines, Tunisia, and Egypt.
Javad Karimi was Iran’s captain in the 2025 Volleyball Nations League (VNL), where Team Melli finished in eighth place.
