Three Zionist Settlers Detained for Allegedly Spying on Israel for Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli media outlets reported the arrest of three more settlers accused of carrying out intelligence operations for Iran, reflecting the growing anxiety within the Israeli regime over Tehran’s expanding influence inside occupied territories.
Hebrew-language sources confirmed that Israeli police and the internal security agency Shin Bet have detained three settlers suspected of involvement in two separate espionage cases linked to Iranian intelligence.
According to the website of the Zionist publication Israel Hayom, the three individuals allegedly undertook assignments for Iranian security services, actions described as a threat to the internal security of the occupying regime.
The wave of arrests and interrogations targeting settlers accused of collaboration with Iran has been intensifying. In the latest case, the so-called Lahav 433 police unit and Shin Bet announced the detention of three residents in connection with operations aimed at undermining Israeli security.
One of the detainees, Mark Morgin, 33, from the Jordan Valley settlement, was arrested in June for alleged contact with “hostile security elements.” Investigators claimed Morgin carried out multiple tasks under direct Iranian supervision.
According to Shin Bet, Morgin agreed to retrieve a grenade from a concealed location and move it within the occupied territories at the request of an Iranian intelligence officer. He is also accused of filming Israeli army air defense installations during the 12-day conflict between the regime and Iran.
In a separate file, two settlers from Tiberias in northern occupied Palestine, identified as Yoni Segal, 18, and Nahorai Omri Mizrahi, 20, were detained. They allegedly maintained contact over the past two months with Iranian officers and carried out missions targeting Israeli facilities.
Authorities charged them with filming the Grand Canyon Mall in Haifa, the Big Fashion Mall in Tiberias, the Dizengoff Center, and Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. They reportedly documented the number of security guards and shops and shared the information and precise locations with their Iranian handler.
The Petah Tikva District Court handling the case has extended their detention by 30 more days.
This latest surge in arrests comes after Israeli outlets yesterday announced the capture of Roi Mizrahi, a 24-year-old Israeli accused of planning the assassination of Israeli war minister Yisrael Katz.
